KIDS

“You’re off to great places, today is your day, your mountain is waiting, so get on your way.” – Dr. Seuss

Childhood is a time of great possibility. We understand that being a child is not always easy. At Westchester Parenting, we use a child-centered approach to help kids manage stress, rebound from disappointments and create strategies for future well-being. We help children understand their family and social dynamics and strengthen their relationships. We match children of all ages to realistic interventions that suit their personalities and target their goals. From the shy, hesitant kids to the outgoing talkers, we help create environments where kids learn to navigate life's struggles and enjoy the simplicity of childhood.

Our work is based on knowledge, research and expertise in the area of child psychology. Proven interventions we offer include play therapy, cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) and mindfulness and attachment theories. In order to ensure a collaborative approach to all interventions, we consult with school personnel, educational specialists, related service providers, and caregivers, too.
